The Water Corporation is one of Western Australia's largest consumers of energy, pumping water throughout the entire state. To avoid pumping water to areas without the corresponding demand, the Water Corporation required fast acquisition of reliable data on the status of geographically sparse water assets. This could lead to vast savings in terms of water and energy consumption by only pumping to where water is needed most.

Convergio designed and implemented the OPR system (Operational Performance Reporting) for Water Corporation. This innovative system streamlined the collection and swift validation of instrumentation data. OPR leverages robust workflow approval procedures and facilitates publishing to external systems of record to enable data-driven decisions for effective use of water assets.

With the introduction of the OPR system, there was a marked acceleration in the data publication process. The previously prolonged validation and upload times were slashed, leading to improved utilisation of precious water resources and considerable cost savings for the Water Corporation.
